This is a common mistake when try to start a MOSS search services:
An unhandled exception occurred in the user interface.Exception Information: OSearch (Administrator)
This error occur when you do not specific the machinename in your username. you must put in fulll name. e.g. mossadministrator.

Ops, is my fault. I means we should put in the machine name together with username. eg. MOSS is my machine name and administrator is my username. Then we have to enter full name as “MOSS\administrator”

I have a similar problem,My joined a domain and my domain name is INFOGRAPHICS while my username is administrator.INFOGRAPHICS\adminstrator still to no avail.Pls what shd i do?

Hi,I too faced the same problem.But then I inserted the domain_name\administrator and the service started.
