Possible MOSS 2007 bug in content query web part?

One of my colleague found out one funny bug in moss 2007. Here are the steps to reproduce it:

Add the content query web part, set to query items from page libraries from the whole site collection. (this should be default).

Add filter on “Scheduling End Date” and set to a specific date

Apply the setting and close the web part properties pane

Open back the properties pane, settings for the date are gone, and went back to [Today].
This seems like a bug in MOSS 2007. The bug still exist after install SP1. Do let me know if anybody out there having the same problem and solutions.
p/s: My colleague already contacted a MS guy in my region. I will update this blog once got any feedback from them.

I have encountered the same problem. Have you found a solution for it yet? I know the article date can be used, but I don’t like that for a work around.

Hi there.
I have an issue where if I use the Scheduling End Date to filter for items, regardless of what date or filter options I use (less then, greater then, etc), no items ever get returned.
I used U2U CAML query editor and I get stuff back from the same list e.g.
2008-08-12
and this works fine, though I do have to use the above date format for it to work. I think the CQWP is using a date format that does not work with this list.
Do you have any ideas as to whether this is a bug in the CQWP which is related to what you have experienced?

Have you tried setting two filters so that one is greater than and one is set to less than - this should give you the same result as setting the part as you require….
But that bug is a funny one - nearly as bad as the news page description problem I am facing… But that s for another thread,
